After all these basic things ,you want to know about Entrance Tests sure!!Thats what we are here for after all !!.Entrance Test or Entrance Examinations as they say are tests conducted by a college or a group of colleges .They are conducted at regional level ,state level ,national level or sometimes throughout the world(like SAT,GMAT,GRE etc.) .But we are intrested about engineering entrances & those in India!!
The major engineering entrances conducted at National Level are:-
1.IIT JEE(Joint Entrance Examination conducted by the Indian Institute of Technologys)
2.AIEEE(All India Engineering Entrance Exam for admission into the NIT's and other premier engineering institutes)
3.BITSAT(Online Entrance Exam for admission into BITS-Pilani)

These exams are conducted throughout India invarious cities and towns .The toughest of all of them is no doubt IITJEE .It is considered at the the toughest undergraduate exam throughout the world !!!I do recommend you go for coaching if you want to really have a chance of clearing it.I will also give a list of books in my forecoming blogs which you should study to have a feel of JEE level.

Then coming to AIEEE it is the engineering exam in which maximum number of engineering aspirants appear in this country.It is the gateway to the coverted NIT's ,now you would be wonsering what are these NIT's after all!!!Well these NIT's are nothing but the REC's or the Regional Engineering Colleges besides the NIT's other premier institutes also offer admission through AIEEE .Another point to note is that some Deeemed Universities and States also offer admission based on AIEEE rank.So your AIEEE rank is the most useful tool for admission whereever you go(barring a few instances!!)

BITSAT is the gateway to BITS-Pilani India's best (and i do mean the number 1) Private Engineering College .The fact that separates it from the rest of the priate colleges is that it offers admission only on the basis of merit!!Nobody can get entry into this coverted institute unless and untill you clear the BITSAT .

Hi guys i am Ashim .I am an engineering student(E&C) second year.After noticing that there is a sure lack of information about engineering colleges in INDIA and a few misconceptions about them i have taken the responsibility to share with everyone what i know about engineering entrances & its colleges.
I start with what it takes to get admission in these pioneer institutes .First of all you should be appearing or have passed your 12th class exam .If you are appearing
then you should bear in mind that you get a good percenatge bcaz most of the good Entrance Exams have some cut off percentage.
Then comes the filling of forms.You should be quite alert when the form of the Entrance Test in which you want to appear is out .Bcaz if you dont fill the form or submit if before the last date then you cant appear for the test .
Last but not the LEAST!!!Is your performance in the test .BCAZ your fate & sometimes life depends on how you perform on that given day(s)
